Honoka is a generally pleasant girl. She is friendly toward new acquaintances, albeit a bit shy at first, and holds her friends and family dear. She is known as quirky and soft-spoken to those who are near to her, and she is constantly on the pursuit of knowledge. She loves to learn useless factoids and relishes conversations that lead her to learning something new. This love for knowledge makes her a very logical thinker, which is odd to her considering she enjoys writing paranormal and fantasy most of all.

She is, however, a bit too distant. Friends complain that she does not call them or ask to hang out enough, and although she believes she is a good friend, her tendency to seem like flake is an issue that tarnishes her otherwise decent track-record.

Honoka's head is almost always in the clouds, which might be the reason why she seems so distant. At any moment she could be zoning out, physically present but mentally lost in the mess that is her imagination. In school, this habit affects her ability to concentrate, and so she often ends up lost and overwhelmed.

She believes she is a boring person due to the fact that she does not like to do anything that others consider 'fun' (ie: getting drunk - although she does drink occasionally - attending wild parties, bar-hopping...etc). She turns down a lot of activities in order to stay home and write, content with her own company. Back home, people had started to stop asking her to participate altogether. It takes a bit of prying, but if someone puts in the effort to lead her away from her shell, she does give in and ends up having a good time.

Despite her faults, Honoka tries very hard to let her friends know that she is there for them, and she nurtures blossoming friendships to the best of her abilities. Once she is comfortable with someone, she opens up completely and reveals her expressive, comical side. This does not keep her from spending most of her time alone, however.

Being desperate for people to like her comes with the realization that she can be too introverted. This thought leads her to do anything to make others happy, which can be both a good or bad thing. It is good in the sense that people appreciate her abundant generosity and kindness, but bad in that she is easily pushed over and taken advantage of, as either an emotional crutch or an outlet for frustration. Anger directed at Honoka is taken without protest and she rarely defends herself.

Bio:
Honoka is the oldest of three. She is from a small town, where her father earns a good living in law, and her mother works as a substitute teacher. She is very close to her parents, and she is ever-grateful for their care and support.

She is also very caring toward siblings, who are 16 and 8, and she worries about them when she is away. However, due mostly to the fact that she is so introverted, she has developed jealousy toward her brother, who is much more popular than she ever was. She does not regret her high-school days, but she does sometimes wish that she had experienced more.

Honoka has only a few close friends from school, and they all went away to post-secondary a year before she did, as she had decided to stay back an extra year in order to decide what program to choose and to save up by working at a clothing store.

This decision, along with her reputation as a homebody, made her the target of judgments about her maturity and ability to take care of herself. Many of her friends and family members believed that she would not be able to handle being at school, away from home, and so she took a leap and decided to go off to a school that is far from her hometown in an effort to prove herself.

With the money she saved at her job and financial help from her parents, she moved into the dorms of Kamenoko University and is currently studying her passion of creative writing.

Club: Not committed enough to start one.
