Dahlia is incredibly social, making her an excellent manager/clerk. She often whisks hesitant Mediums/Ghosts into the lobby, convincing them to become residents if she sees them standing outside the gates. Often, she greets newcomers and recurring residents alike by throwing her arms open and calling to them with a theatrical voice, practically dancing her way over to them. She is rarely found anywhere but in the lobby or foyer/sunroom. However, witnesses will testify that during quiet hours she has been seen sitting in the graveyard, pondering. Others have said that she takes long trips into the woods, presumably to the lake/lakehouse. Her mysterious moments are heavily outweighed by her flamboyant moments, though.
She also loves her staff to death, even the men. She is a rather touchy-feely person, but it's amplified with them

The youngest daughter of a wealthy couple, Dahlia (her real name is unknown), was a bubbly child. She aspired to be an actress and spent most of her time performing monologues in front of her family.
When she was 23, Dahlia befriended an older man named Jeff. He was a talent scout in his late twenties and he fell madly in love with her. While uncertain of her feelings toward him, Dahlia trusted that he wanted to help her and so she allowed herself to go over to his house frequently.
Things went south when her parent's caught wind of their relationship. Worried that Jeff's intentions weren't as innocent as their daughter believed, they forced Dahlia to cut all ties with him. Dahlia was devastated and ran off to Jeff's house to tell him. When he suggested they run away together to get married, she hesitated.
"What, you don't love me?"
"I...no! I like you, Jeff. But I'm not ready for anything like this..."
"So you've been...leading me on?"
"Wha- no! Jeff, please, calm down... I just thought you wanted to help me be famous! Isn't that what we said, Jeff?"
"You little whore!"
"Jeff, please, stop! You're scaring me!"
"You want to be famous, hm? I'll make you famous. Everyone will know your name. I promise."
Dahlia's body was found in a field next to the local theater. Her mouth had been slit on both sides to form a permanent smile. A note left on her body read: "I'll always smile for the cameras!"
Dahlia was given her name by her mentor and previous manager of the House of Lost, Mister 3. He believed her to be the victim of the Black Dahlia Murder, and though she wasn't, the name stuck. She has long since forgotten her real name, but her distrust for men remains.
